A woman has admitted to assaulting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage by throwing a milkshake over him while he was campaigning in Clacton-on-Sea ahead of the general election.

OnlyFans creator Victoria Thomas Bowen arrived at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for a trial today after previously denying the offence and another of criminal damage.

The 25-year-old from Clacton-on-Sea changed her plea to guilty ahead of the trial this morning.

The Reform UK leader, who was pictured outside the court today, was doused in a McDonald’s banana drink while on the election trail in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, on June 4.

He was leaving the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub having earlier addressed supporters at a rally in the seaside town during the general election campaign.

Mr Farage was left with the yellow liquid splattered across his suit.

Prosecutors alleged that £30 worth of criminal damage was caused to a jacket belonging to a member of Mr Farage’s team.

Ms Bowen denied the attack and later pleaded not guilty to both assault and criminal damage charges at the same court in July.

Deputy senior district judge Tan Ikram adjourning sentence until 16 December.

He said: “You have pleaded guilty to, in my judgment, two serious charges. This was an unprovoked, targeted attack now on an elected Member of Parliament.

“I take a serious view of these offences. I am seeking a pre-sentence report which will consider all options for sentence.”

Reform UK leader Mr Farage, 60, is now MP for the town after winning the seat at the 4 July election with an 8,405 majority.

In a witness statement read out in court, he said he was not injured but “this incident caused me concern as I have only been going about my job” and that he tries to “have as much public engagement as possible”.

“I’m saddened that this has happened at a public campaign,” he added.

Thomas Bowen was arrested shortly after the incident and told police in interview that she “does not agree with his political views”.

She said she was outside the pub when she saw him leaving and decided to act because she “had the opportunity” and “she states she did not regret her actions.”

Thomas Bowen was granted unconditional bail ahead of her sentencing and her address was not read out in court due to several threats she has since received.

Victoria previously posted a jibe after the milkshake incident with a photo on Instagram. The racy image was captioned: “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard/And they’re like, it’s better than yours/Damn right it’s better than yours/I can teach you but I’d have to charge.”

On August 15 this year Essex Police launched an appeal to help find her after she was reported missing at about 1pm from her home address.

Later that day the force said she had been found. A spokesperson for the force added that officers wanted to “make sure she was OK”.

It is not clear if it was connected to the prosecution or other reasons.
