Cheese and onion flavoured crisps have been recalled over concerns that they could pose a “possible health risk”. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said One Stop Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Hand Cooked Crisps were found to contain milk not mentioned on the label.
This means they could trigger symptoms in people with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. A notice issued by the FSA said: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instea,d return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

The recall applies to 150g packs with best before dates of February 17, 18 and 23, 2026.
Around one in 50 babies suffer from allergies to cow’s milk, although most outgrow it during childhood.
Up to one in 10 adults is thought to be lactose intolerant, meaning their body cannot digest the sugar found in milk products.
Symptoms of a milk allergy include hives, swelling, vomiting, and breathing difficulties, which typically occur within a few minutes of consumption.
Allergies can sometimes be treated with antihistamine drugs and managed by avoiding milk products.
In serious cases, exposure to milk can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis.
The notice added: “One Stop is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.”
