Latest maps from WXCHARTS show snow is set to hit the UK with a huge amount of areas set to be blanketed. Wintery conditions will be present across the country, with temperatures due to drop. The snow will stretch 459 miles from Ullapool, in Scotland, to Stoke-on-Trent.
On Tuesday 27, maps show up to 10cm of snow will fall at around 6pm. The south of England will avoid the snow, along with the south of Wales. In England, parts of the Midlands and the north will see snow, with Scotland and Northern Ireland also set to be covered.

A snow depth map indicates that the deepest snowfall will be in Scotland, with up to 72cm in Cairngorms National Park. A temperature map shows lows of -1C will also be seen in this area.
As for the rest of the UK, temperatures will sit at around -1C to highs of 7C in the south of England.
A forecast by the Met Office says that today, it will be cloudy for many with outbreaks of rain and heavy showers.
There will be further hill snow likely across parts of northeast Scotland.
It adds: “A few brighter breaks developing at times in the south. Lighter winds for most compared to Saturday.”
Into tonight, it will be largely cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain, generally easing.

There will be wintry showers mostly in the northeast, with mist and fog patches developing in any cloud breaks in the southeast.
For Monday, it says: “Generally cloudy with further outbreaks of rain for northeast England and east Scotland, wintry over the hills.
“Band of rain and strong winds arriving in the west and spreading eastwards.”
For Tuesday to Thursday, it adds: “Remaining unsettled throughout, with rain, showers and possible hill snow moving across the country with strong winds, particularly on Tuesday when another deep area of low pressure arrives. Feeling cold.”
