‘This is what you wanted!’ King Charles urged to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles
Express readers have shared their thoughts on Prince Harry’s royal title – and it’s bad news for the embattled Duke.
Prince Harry reacts to appeal decision over UK security
King Charles has been urged to strip Prince Harry of his royal title following the latest attack against the Royal Family. After losing a multimillion-pound fight for protection in the UK, Harry made the decision to take part in another interview – with the Duke of Sussex telling the BBC in America that his father “won’t speak” to him.
In a poll conducted by the Express, readers were asked whether they believed Harry had taken it a step too far and if they now feel King Charles should take the step in stripping his royal title.
In a humiliating blow for the Duke of Sussex, the results show that 97 percent [4,494 votes] feel that the King should go ahead and take away Harry’s title. In contrast, just two percent [105 votes] said that the King should leave Harry’s title as it has been since he made the decision to step away from royal duties five years ago.

Unsure of what they feel should happen, just one percent of voters shared that they “don’t know” what the King should do about Harry’s royal title.
Taking to the comment section, one royal fan commented: “It would allow him to become the private citizen that both he and Meghan said they wanted to be.”
Thinking ahead to William’s future reign, one fan added: “Yes, he should. He’s King first and Father second in this case. It’s not right to leave that decision to William…”
A third commented: “Absolutely! He has dissed the King… get some Charles and do it.”

As well as sharing that they believe Harry’s title should be removed, one fan added at what point they think it should have gone ahead. Commenting, they wrote: “The titles should have been removed the moment they wanted half in half out.”
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left Britain in 2020, they accepted the late Queen’s wishes that they should no longer use the HRH, His, or Her, Royal Highness, ranks with their names.
The couple have, however, freely been able to refer to themselves as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
