The presence of barley is a potential risk to anyone who has an allergy or intolerance to gluten. Customers who have bought the item are being asked to return it to their nearest Iceland store. A refund will be provided.

The product, available in two sizes, contains an undeclared wheat protein which could be harmful to those with wheat or gluten allergies or intolerances, including coeliac disease.

This comes after Kellogg’s announced that it will not be bringing back Chocolate Corn Flakes after they were recalled last year for  containing “hard lumps of cereal that do not break down when eaten with milk”.
