Brits are set to see heavy snow in just a matter of days. Latest maps show a huge stretch of snow will make its way across the UK, with 19 cities to see wintery conditions. The wall of snow coming in from the Atlantic will stretch more than 200 miles and rapidly make its way across the nation. Maps from WXCHARTS show patches of snow, indicated by white, to hit the UK on Tuesday, January 27. At 12 noon, north Wales, all of Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland will see up to 55cm of snow. In England, Cumbria, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Blackpool and Yorkshire will see snow.

By 3pm, other areas will be hit with rain. Maps show most areas will see rain, with only a few to avoid wet weather.
Areas which will be drier include Cornwall, Devon and south Wales. The Met Office five day forecast says that today, rain or hill snow will affect parts of central and eastern Scotland, but it’s mostly dry with sunny spells across eastern England.
Elsewhere, there will be frequent showers or longer spells of rain. It will be windy for all, with gales slowly easing for some. Later tonight, conditions will be unsettled, particularly in the west, with further bands of rain or showers moving north.
It will be mostly dry in the east, but often cloudy. There will be rain and hill snow easing across northeast Scotland.

As for Sunday, it will be cloudy for many with outbreaks of rain or showers.
There will be a few brighter breaks developing, with many areas becoming dry later. There is further hill snow likely across parts of northeast Scotland.
From Monday to Wednesday, it says: “Remaining unsettled throughout, with bands of rain moving north and east across the country, particularly on Tuesday when another deep area of low pressure approaches from the southwest. Feeling cold.”
It will come just hours after heavy rain sweeps the UK. The Met Office has this morning issued warnings for 32 areas.
