Nigel Farage is facing questions over his leadership of Reform UK following the row over Rupert Lowe. The Great Yarmouth MP was suspended from the party amid allegations about his conduct, which he denies.

Mr Lowe had questioned Mr Farage’s leadership in an outspoken interview the day before. But do you think the Clacton MP should be replaced as leader of the insurgent party? Vote in the poll below and let us know more in the comments section.

Reform said on Friday that Mr Lowe had been stripped of the whip over allegations of office bullying.

It also said he had been reported to the police after claims of threatening violence against the party chairman Zia Yusuf.

The party added that an independent KC had been appointed to look into the bullying claims.

Mr Lowe has said the allegations of bullying do not relate to him and were made by staff who themselves faced disciplinary action.

He also questioned the timing of the police report after Scotland Yard confirmed it was assessing a complaint the force received on Thursday about an alleged incident last December.

Mr Lowe has suggested he was pushed out because he posed a threat to Mr Farage.

It comes as a new YouGov poll found a third of Reform members believe the insurgent party, which has topped national opinion polls in recent months, would be doing better under another leader.

But pollster James Johnson, of JL Partners, warned Mr Farage is Reform’s “only ticket” to 10 Downing Street.
