Nigel Farage has slammed the Sir Keir Starmer for being more loyal to international courts than Britain. Speaking on the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the Reform UK leader believes that the Prime Minister doesn’t have the same “feeling for the nation in his heart”, as he does.
When asked if he believes the Prime Minister is patriotic, Mr Farage told the Daily Express: “Well, Jeremy Corbyn certainly wasn’t. I think Keir Starmer has a higher allegiance to international courts than he does to an old fashioned sense of British patriotism. I don’t believe him to be a bad man, but does he have in his heart that feeling for the nation, for its people, for its history, in the way that I do? No.”

The party leader’s comments come on the same day the US-UK trade deal was announced. Dubbed as a “great deal” for the two nations by Donald Trump, Mr Farage hailed being at the “front of the queue” as a positive for the agreement.
He also pointed to the deal being a “Brexit freedom being exercised” which is “ironic for a prime minister who was against it”.
Similarly, the Clacton MP failed to say if he believes the leader of the opposition Kemi Badenoch is patriotic to Britain, claiming he has “no idea”.
He said: “I have no idea what Kemi stands for on any issue. She says one thing in the Common, then you examine her record as a minister or in government, and it contradicts it.

Reform UK are leading the polls on 33% (Image: Getty)
His comments on polling come as the latest predictions from Find Out Now places Reform UK in the top spot at a staggering 33%. This has surged by 4 points since Sir Keir’s local election wipeout.
The figure is the highest Reform UK has ever polled nationally. “With numbers like that, I must have a last drink. It’s unbelievable,” Mr Farage said in response.
He said: “Something very big is happening out there. People want difference, people want change, and above all, people want hope. And at the moment, they see me as the agent of that.”
Meanwhile, Labour is down one point to 20%, trailing 13 points behind Reform. However the Tories have suffered the biggest blow, falling three points to just 16%.
