Reform UK takes a 10-point lead over Labour in a new poll in a major boost for Nigel Farage. The survey by BMG Research puts the insurgent party on 32%, up nine points in a month, with Sir Keir Starmer’s party down four points to 22%.
The Conservatives are in third place with 19%, while the Lib Dems take 13% and the Greens are on 9%. The poll comes after Reform made sweeping gains in last week’s local elections, with the Tories and Labour facing a pummelling.

Mr Farage told the i newspaper: “Last week’s election result and this opinion polling shows us that the two-party system is now dead. If you vote Reform, you get Reform.”
BMG Research’s Robert Struthers added: “This is one poll. So far, others have shown Reform’s support is growing, but not quite to the same extent. And as always, margin of error applies, so this could be an outlier.

Reform took control of 10 councils and picked up more than 600 seats in the local elections in England.
The right-wing party also gained an MP in the Runcorn and Helsby by-election, which was previously one of Labour’s safest seats.
Cabinet minister Wes Streeting admitted Reform is “a real threat” to Labour and is being treated as a “serious opposition force” after the party’s successes in the ballots.
BMG Research interviewed 1,525 British adults online between May 6-8.
