Nigel Farage breaks silence after woman admits throwing milkshake at him.l

The Reform UK leader had a milkshake hurled at him while hitting the campaign trail ahead of the general election.

Nigel Farage accused a woman who threw a milkshake at him of “taking the mickey out of the whole system” after she pleaded guilty at the last minute.

Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, admitted to assault by beating after throwing a milkshake over the Reform leader outside a pub in Clacton-on-Sea during the general election campaign.

The OnlyFans model had originally denied the charges and was due to go on trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today but changed her pleas to guilty before proceedings began.

In a video posted on X, Mr Farage said: “It’s June 4, two hours after I’ve announced my candidacy for the Clacton constituency.

“A young woman rushes out of the crowd and chucks a milkshake in my face. Well, I’m pleased it was only a milkshake.

“We go to Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning. Huge circus. And right at the last minute, she pleads guilty.

“Sentencing will take place on December 16 but just think about the vast amount of public money and time that has been wasted in taking this all the way to the magistrates’ court when at any point in the intervening period she could have pled guilty but chose not to.

“Now she is on OnlyFans and therefore makes money out of any publicity that she gets. Not only are actions like this damaging to our democracy, is it any wonder that Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak barely met a voter in the whole of the election campaign?

“But frankly, she’s taking the mickey out of the whole system. It’s not for me to say what sentence she gets, but she’ll deserve it. Whatever it is.”

Mr Farage, who is now MP for Clacton, was doused with the milkshake and hit by the cup after it was hurled at him as he left the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub in the Essex seaside town on June 4.

Thomas Bowen also admitted criminal damage after causing £17.50 of damage to a jacket belonging to Mr Farage’s security officer, James Woolfenden.

Deputy senior district judge Tan Ikram adjourned sentencing to December 16 and told the defendant: “You have pleaded guilty to, in my judgment, two serious charges.

“This was an unprovoked, targeted attack now on an elected Member of Parliament.

“I take a serious view of these offences. I am seeking a pre-sentence report which will consider all options for sentence.”

In a witness statement read out in court, Mr Farage said he was not injured but “this incident caused me concern as I have only been going about my job” and that he tries to “have as much public engagement as possible”.

“I’m saddened that this has happened at a public campaign,” he added.

When questioned on why she changed her plea on the day of trial, Andrew Price, defending, told the judge: “This case has had a tremendous impact on this defendant.

“There have been a number of threats made against this defendant and she as much as possible wanted to put it out of her mind and avoid making the decision that she ultimately has come to.”
