GB News host Matt Goodwin exploded at former Labour MP Bill Rammell over immigration during a heated clash on the news programme. Goodwin began: “It’s dividing our community, and you are putting women and girls in this country, like Rhiannon Whyte, at risk. You need to admit that and do something about it…” However, Rammell replied: “The Government is doing things about it dramatically. It’s dramatically increasing the process of claims and deportations. One of the things which has come out today is a 63 per cent increase in raids on illegal working, and that’s one of the biggest pull factors…”

As he was defending Labour, the GB News host rolled his eyes and interjected: “Just control the borders. I don’t want deals with Vietnam… I want the borders closed and controlled…”

Goodwin’s guest challenged him by asking the GB News host how he’d do that, to which he responded: “Number one, leave the European Convention of Human Rights…”

The GB News host added: “You prioritise people who are not from our country over our people. I reject that. It’s not about public polling. You asked me how I would control our borders… Have the decency to listen to my answer.”

The pair kept rowing over each other, with the host telling the former MP: “Another person has lost their life, and it’s absolutely outrageous.”

The debate sparked a strong reaction online, with one person writing on X: “Nothing better than somebody showing such passion and love for his country defending its values, not throwing them away.”

Another said: “Legal migration is actually a bigger problem.” Meanwhile, a third penned: “Matt Goodwin at his best.”

A fourth remarked: Matty needs to get that temper under control.” Someone else said: “I cannot wait till a proper government gets this country in order and gets the population safe. This can’t go on. What planet are they on!! Their words are salad!!!!”
