A violent Channel migrant is on the run after attacking two security guards at a former military base.

Syrian national Adnani Mohammed was found guilty – in his absence – of two counts of beating at Weathersfield near Braintree

Mohammed, who had been in the country for just four months, drunkenly punched and headbutted staff after demanding to see a doctor in April 2024.

One security guard suffered injuries to his mouth in what was described as a “very violent” attack.

A warrant has been issued for Mohammed after he failed to turn up to court for the case against him.

Mohammed had already damaged the security office at the base during a separate violent outburst.

Witnesses told GB News the asylum seeker had demanded to see a doctor before launching his brutal attack on staff, punching and headbutting officers.

One witness said he swiped at an officer, knocking the body-worn camera to the floor.

He then headbutted an officer three times and kicked another in the knee.

“It looked very violent,” the witness said, adding that the officers “did not do anything to provoke him, and there’s no chance it was self-defence.”

A Home Office spokesperson said: “We are assisting the police to track down this individual.

“We will not allow foreign criminals and illegal migrants to exploit our laws.

“We are reforming human rights laws and replacing the broken appeals system so we can scale up deportations.

“All Foreign National Offenders who receive a prison sentence in the UK are referred for deportation at the earliest opportunity.”
