appeared to make a sombre six-word remark to the Duchess of Edinburgh on the balcony on Remembrance Sunday, a lip reader has revealed.

Members of the Royal Family gathered together at the Cenotaph for a poignant service to remember fearless British soldiers who lost their lives fighting for our country.

While the King, Prince of Wales, Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne attended the service, Princess Kate and Sophie watched the ceremony from the central Foreign Office balcony.

According to The Sun’s lipreader Kayleigh Harris, Kate and Sophie appeared in deep conversation. She said Princess Kate turned to Sophie and said: “She will be supported in this.”

Although unclear what they were speaking about, Sophie replied: “Yes, and especially…”

During their appearance, Sophie was seen affectionately placing a hand on Kate’s back as they turned to head inside at the conclusion of the Remembrance Sunday service.

This geature has been described as a “symbolic gesture” following the royal’s latest appearance after the completion of her cancer treatment in September.

Speaking of Sophie’s sweet gesuture, body language expert Judi James explained to Express.co.uk: “This touch on the back looks symbolic in terms of showing that Kate is able to receive love, care and support on tap even when William is not able to be with her.”

Although the King was in attendance today, Queen Camilla was absent from the service as she contracted a chest infection earlier this week which has forced her to pull out of engagements.
