A furious row emerged on GB News after ex-Labour candidate Kevin Craig defended the party on Jacob Rees-Mogg‘s show. Craig claimed that the country’s economy is being “well managed” by the Government, prompting Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin to immediately shut him down. She fumed that the wealthiest in the country are “leaving Britain because of your taxes”, fuming that she couldn’t disagree with him more.
Craig admitted he believes the May elections will be difficult for Labour, but added: “The change is happening right in front of our eyes, the economy is being well managed.” As he made the statement, Pochin could be heard stifling a laugh in the background, while Craig continued: “Nigel Farage is on the record as supporting Liz Truss’ disastrous budget; that’s a fact.”

He began to discuss the NHS, national security, and asked: “Do you want an economy where interest rates come down steadily? We’re building more houses, and also, here’s a big deal about this country. Do you want to be proud of our diversity, or do you want to try and use immigration and issues to try and tear people apart?”
Pochin immediately returned with multiple points as she furiously asked: “You say you’re building more houses, who for? Illegal migrants?” She fumed: “You talk about the economy, oh my goodness, there are 100,000 jobs that have been lost already in the hospitality sector since you came to power.”
She fumed that businesses are struggling as they “cannot cope” with the policies and are having to close. Craig hit back that the Government has focused more on pay rises than it had the decade before, adding: “Billions of pounds have come in because Labour is full of business people, wealth creators like me, who know about aspiration and profits,” claiming things are “starting to turn”.
Giving the final word, Pochin fumed: “I couldn’t disagree with you more, creators are leaving this country because of your taxes on wealth creators.”
Ress-Mogg then put a stop to the interview and stated he was allowing her the final word because in part he agreed with her, and stated: “I think that the Tories and Reform should come together because we’re broadly on the same side.”
