Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves‘s popularity has sunk to a new low, polling shows. The Prime Minister has a net favourability score of minus 54, according to the survey by YouGov.

Just 18% of Britons have a positive view of him, the lowest recorded by the pollster to date, while 72% see him negatively. Meanwhile, the Chancellor has a net rating of minus 59 which is her lowest to date following her tax-hiking Budget.

It is also the worst score that any chancellor has received during the nine years YouGov have been tracking favourability ratings.

Some 71% have a negative view of Ms Reeves, while just 12% see her in a positive light.

It has been a better month for Tory leader Kemi Badenoch with 26% of Britons now viewing her favourably, up five points from November and the highest yet recorded by the pollster.

She has a net score of minus 26, with 52% holding an unfavourable opinion in the polling carried out from December 14-15.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has a net rating of minus 35, with 29% seeing him positively and 64% negatively.

Meanwhile, more than half of Britons now hold an opinion on Green Party leader Zack Polanski as membership of the left-wing party surges under his leadership.

He has a net score of minus six, with 23% favourable and 29% unfavourable.
