Good Morning Britain fans complained as the ITV show shared a report on French leader Emmanuel Macron being welcomed into the UK to meet King Charles.
Fans of Good Morning Britain were less than impressed on Tuesday and admitted that they were “turning off” just minutes into the ITV show. Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were back at the helm as they discussed all of the latest news topics, including how French leader Emmanuel Macron will be welcomed into the UK to meet King Charles.
The breakfast TV show explained how a migrant exchange plan to help stop small boat crossings hangs in the balance at the start of Mr Macron’s state visit to the UK. The politician is set to join the King this evening at a banquet when the monarch will describe the “complex threats” the countries share. News correspondent Richard Gaisford reported on the matter live from Windsor as he explained that Mr Macron was met by Prince William and Kate before being taken to Windsor Castle. He explained that there will be a number of niceties before the “tough talking starts”.

He said: “That’ll be when they start to get down to the gritty and grim issue of all those thousands of people making their crossing from Northern France to Kent across the Channel.”
He added: “There could be plenty of discussion about this one in, one out policy that might be brought in and we could get an update on that.” The reporter added that the ongoing migrant crisis is “certainly going to be a big point of discussion”.
After the report, Richard and Susanna caught up with show regulars Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce to discuss the topic, but fans at home were not happy with the report and said that they would be turning it off.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one viewer complained: “Saw the way this was presented and just knocked the telly off. Just constant negativity about the government. No positives ever given. No balance whatsoever in the general reporting. Boring.”
Another fumed: “Pierce, the new mouthpiece for Reform, along with Reid and Madley,” meanwhile, a third said: “@GMB Can’t stand to watch Kevin Maguire anymore.
“We have a woke [King emoji] so he has no interest in us. He’s not Queen Elizabeth, that’s for sure. Prefer to watch M Dewbs on GBNEWS in the evening tbh.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV and ITVX
