Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has hit out at Reform UK voters in Lincolnshire after they appointed Dame Andrea Jenkyns as their new mayor.
Andrea Jenkyns refuses to answer ‘divisive’ questions
Good Morning Britain star has branded the voters who elected Dame Andrea Jenkyns the new mayor of Greater Lincolnshire as “racists” after historic Reform UK win. On Thursday (May 1), Brits from up and down the country filled voting halls as they cast their votes for county mayors and council seats. The results of the nationwide by-elections began pouring in overnight where Reform UK proved to be quite a force to be reckoned with.
The party won its first Parliamentary by-election, taking Runcorn and Helsby from Labour by just six votes after a recount. They also won their first mayoral contest, with former Tory MP Dame Andrea Jenkyns getting 42% of the vote in Greater Lincolnshire – a staggering win over the Conservative candidate who only raked in 26% of the votes.

After the news was announced, the new mayor was interviewed by Sky News where she talked about her landslide win. During the heated debate, the new mayor stormed off from the interview after she was questioned about a comment she allegedly made about a fellow candidate.
After the clip was posted online, Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur then took to X – formerly known as Twitter – shared it her followers and took aim the Reform UK voters who appointed her as the new mayor in Lincolnshire.
She captioned the post: “She’s a failed Tory MP, shame on the thick racists in Lincolnshire who voted for this car crash of a woman who thinks vulnerable people should be put in tents.”
Daily Express has reached out to a representative for Narider and Andrea for a comment.
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the comments to share their thoughts on the controversial clip online. Some users agreed with Nariders post, with one user penning: “She’s a disgrace”.

Another echoed: “Totallty agree, Narinder. She doesn’t seem to realise that asylum seekers include babies and other small children. Tents are no place for them – especially in a British winter.”
Meanwhile others who agreed with the politician fumed: “Keep going, I’m sure eventually this tactic of calling people racist will work.” Another agreed: “Your hysterical ranting is hilarious to see [cry-laughing emoji]. Yes illegal migrants should be put in tents before being deported.”
In the heated interview, Andrea told reporters: “[We want to tackle] Illegal migrants. People come here illegally, they should be put in tents like they do in France.” The Sky news reporter asked: “Do you think asylum seekers should be put in tents?” to which she replied: “Well, I think genuine asylum seekers like people in Ukraine
The news correspondent went on to ask the politician about an alleged comment she made about another candidate’s “South African accent” after claiming Andrea ha been “parachuted in”. Andrea replied: “What I meant is how can they say I’ve been parachuted in when most of my life is in Lincolnshire, my school.”
The broadcaster cut her off to further probe: “Why mention the accent?” to which she explained: “Because of the irony of saying someone’s being ‘parachuted in’ who’s not even from the country.
“I mean I went to school, college, and university.” The news reporter countered: “So someone who’s got an accent can’t be from this county?” Andrea then decided to shut down the conversation, simply stating: “I don’t think I’m going to answer any more of your questions.
“I think your questioning is quite divisive the way you’re looking into things when it was a little play with words, a little joke because of the irony. Do you not understand irony?”
