GB News issued a humiliating blow to Prime Minister Keir Starmer as they went live to the Tory party conference in Manchester. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp took to the stage during the event as he landed a crushing blow to struggling Keir Starmer.

He said: “When Keir Starmer talked about one-in, one-out policy, it turns out he didn’t mean illegal immigrants, he actually meant Home Secretaries,” as the audience burst out laughing.

Philp continued: “And it’s not just the Home Secretaries, the Prime Minister removed more Ministers from the Home Office than he did illegal immigrants back to France,” as he raged: “Keir Starmer lied to get power. He lied to the Labour party about what he belived in, he lied to the country about what he would do, and he lied to himself about being up to the job. No wonder Labour spent their conference plotting to replace Keir Starmer, who believes nothing, with Burnham, who apparently believes everything.”

He then promised to ensure “sustained negative net migration” by setting an annual cap on immigration, voted for by Parliament.

Philp said the Tories would see that those who came to the UK to work, but failed to do so or worked on low wages, would leave once their visa expires.

He said: “Let me say this: the days of mass, low-skill migration has to end.

“And that is why we will ensure that those who have come already to work, but have then not worked or have only worked on low wages, they must leave when their visa expires.

“And that is why only those who are making a contribution can stay here permanently, and those who are not citizens cannot expect to receive any benefits funded by taxpayers.”

He continued: “And that is why we will set a binding annual cap on immigration, voted each year by our sovereign Parliament, and a Conservative government will set that cap at a low level to ensure that more people leave than arrive.

“And that means we will deliver sustained negative net migration.”
