Former UKIP leader Henry Bolton issued a stern warning about Sir Keir Starmer during a breaking news alert on this afternoon’s GB News hosted by Tom Harwood and Olivia Utley. The former politician addressed the impact of Lord Peter Mandelson being appointed to the Washington ambassadorship on Starmer’s position despite the government being aware of his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Bolton said the controversy is “the biggest crisis this government is facing since it came to power”. He explained: “I think it’s immensely damaging because there’s a context to it which I will mention in a moment. In the first instance, the government simply insists on this amendment… Nobody in the House of Commons in the present or in the past has wanted to compromise national security by releasing classified information.”

He added: “The government is already looking evasive, they are on the back foot on this and the Prime Minister already this morning admitted he was aware Lord Mandleson – soon not to be Lord Mandleson – was continuing his relationship with Epstein despite Epstein being convicted. So he was aware of this. The whole thing, really, now is around the Prime Minister’s judgement.”
His comments come after it was revealed that King Charles III agreed with Starmer that Lord Mandelson “should be removed from the list of Privy Counsellors on grounds that he brought the reputation of the Privy Council into disrepute”. Lord Mandelson is facing a criminal investigation and has quit the House of Lords.
Bolton continued: “Has the Prime Minister ignored the advice and the warnings he was given or not? If he did, then his judgment has to be brought into question.”
Bolton then asked if Starmer has been “ignoring all the warnings and red flags which have been raised to him”.
GB News host Harwood chimed in: “This frankly looks like a chaotic government which doesn’t know which way to face, that tries to get away with burying information…”
When asked if the Labour government can survive under so much chaos, Bolton replied: “I think the Labour Party will remain in power, I don’t think this will trigger a general election. However, if anything is going to trigger the Prime Minister himself and get him out of office in the coming weeks or months, it’s going to be this.”
He concluded by saying this is the “biggest crisis” this government has faced “since they came into power”.
“If anything is going to bring down The Prime Minister and get him out of office in the coming months, it is going to be this,” the guest warned.
