GB News paused to bring breaking news as Keir Starmer was hit with yet another embarrassing statistic amid frequent migrant crossings to Britain.

The number of illegal migrants arriving in Britain by small boat has surged past 50,000since Labour came to power, with a further 180 people making the perilous journey across the Channel this morning.
On GB News, Home and Security Editor Mark White joined hosts Ellie Costello and Eamonn Holmes in the studio to discuss the latest development, saying: “This really brings the small boats crisis into focus… it just keeps on coming.”
The milestone figure, reached in Labour’s tenure, highlights the scale of the crisis gripping Britain’s borders. According to official statistics, tens of thousands have already landed on UK shores since July, with crossings continuing daily despite weather conditions.

Critics say the record-breaking pace of arrivals is proof that current deterrents are failing. Migrant accommodation is already stretched to breaking point, with dozens of hotels across the UK housing asylum seekers and local councils warning of mounting pressure on public services.
Meanwhile, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has called for asylum seekers to be held in “camps” instead of in expensive homes and hotels. In a statement, she shared: “We’ve got to turn things around very quickly. We cannot use rules from 1995, or 2005, or even 2015 for 2025. Our world is changing very quickly, and we need to adapt to it.”
She added: “Is it possible for us to set up camps and police that, rather than bringing all of this hassle into communities? We need to make sure that communities like Epping are safe. What a lot of the parents — the mothers and even some of the children — have said to me is that they don’t feel safe. ”
Reform UK’s only female MP yesterday claimed small boat migrants from Muslim countries are a threat to women’s safety in Britain.
Dozens of illegal migrants, primarily young men, were seen disembarking from Border Force cutters at Dover. The 50,000 arrivals represent a population equivalent to that of Durham, with most being accommodated in taxpayer-funded housing.
Public frustration over illegal migration is primarily directed at the costly asylum hotels and private housing currently used to accommodate Channel crossers, such as The Bell Hotel in Epping, where Badenoch visited over the weekend.
