GB News star Clare Muldoon faced major backlash after raising concerns about the asylum seekers who will be removed from Epping’s Bell Hotel. This latest update comes after thousands of locals protested for weeks, and as a result, Epping Forest District Council was granted a temporary High Court injunction to stop migrants from being placed at the hotel, which is owned by Somani Hotels Limited. The initial protests were sparked after an asylum seeker living there was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the town.
Clare joined presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello for a discussion about the injunction and was asked, “Do you think this is a victory for mums and dads?” To which the journalist responded: “It is to a certain extent, but the other issue with this is the High Court ruled that The Bell Hotel was being used improperly, i.e., it was in breach of its planning consent.” As Clare asked: “Where are they going to go?” that star was met with criticism from viewers, including one who wrote: “Clare’s starting to lose the plot. She used to talk sense.”

Another commented: “Exactly, where are they going to go, and that is the government’s problem and sticking them in HMOs is not going to wash either…”
“It is a victory, it’s the first step to force the government into deporting the illegals,” stated a third.
One viewer raged: “We do not care where you shove them. The UK occupies 0.16% of the world’s total land mass. Anywhere in the other 99.84% of the rest of the world is fine.”
Hitting back at Clare, a fuming viewer questioned: “Does this woman ever stop moaning and complaining about everything?” While another suggested: “Why not create a HMO either side of Claire’s house?”
During the discussion, Clare continued: “The judge in his ruling said that he didn’t think there was anything surreptitious going on, he didn’t think there was anything duplicitous.
“However, what they were doing, Simoni hotel, who own the Bell Hotel, what they did do was in breach of their rights, in breach of their contract in terms of it should be as a hotel, not for housing asylum seekers or illegal immigrants, that is the key issue.”
