Donald Trump Secretly Plots to Make Nigel Farage the NEXT UK PRIME MINISTER — “I’ll Throw My Whole Weight Behind Him!”
Donald Trump has vowed to ‘throw his whole weight’ behind Nigel Farage to help him to become Prime Minister by 2027, sources on both sides of the Atlantic have told The Mail on Sunday.
The level of co-operation between President Trump’s Maga (Make America Great Again) movement and Mr Farage’s Reform UK has ramped up significantly in recent months, adding discreet organisation and ‘synergies’ to the two leaders’ years-long friendship.
According to the sources, Mr Trump does not expect Keir Starmer’s Government to last beyond 2027, and wants Mr Farage to be in place in Downing Street while he is still serving out his second term in the White House, due to end in January 2029.
Last week’s tax-raiding, welfare-raising Budget has only cemented that view.
A Reform UK source said: ‘The President thinks that the money markets will soon slam the door on Starmer, after concluding that Britain is a bad bet. When that happens the Government will fall and there will be a general election. He wants to do all he can behind the scenes to ensure that Nigel wins and gets a grip on the country’.
Those synergies between the two camps were on display on Thursday at 5 Hertford Street, a private members’ club in London’s Mayfair which is the unofficial headquarters for Mr Farage, his moneymen and disaffected Tories flirting with the idea of defecting.
A Reform-organised breakfast meeting to discuss the fallout from the Budget included both Mr Farage and his adviser James Orr, a Cambridge professor who has been described as a ‘Sherpa’ for US Vice-President JD Vance.

They have been friends for a while, with Mr Farage helping the President’s election campaigns
Discussions between the Trump and Farage camps have centred on how to turn Reform’s opinion poll lead into a Commons majority – and how to turn that into effective government. Senior figures in Reform, including financier Nick Candy, are focused on raising funds for an election campaign and emulating the US system, under which incoming presidents have a three-month transition period to prepare for government.
A source said: ‘We need someone to head up a proper transition office so that we are ready to hit the ground running from day one.’
Substantial funds – up to £100 billion – are also being sought from ‘tech titans’ which would be used to stabilise the markets in the early days of a Farage administration.
A source close to Mr Trump said: ‘The President believes Nigel Farage can – and will – be the UK’s next Prime Minister. This past week has been indicative of the mess Britain is in. Things have to change and Nigel is the man who can bring that change.
‘The President has enormous respect for Nigel and has given him his full backing. His inner circle know him well and believe he represents the future for your country. Vice-President Vance thinks very highly of him.
‘The President is prepared to throw his whole weight, and that of the Maga machine, to help Nigel win the next election. The view is that will come much sooner than 2029 and there has been constant dialogue between Farage, his team and the President and his advisers.’
Mr Farage last visited President Trump’s Florida base at Mar-a-Lago on November 7 when he received a Patriot Award – and a standing ovation as he collected it. The source said: ‘Nigel always gets a warm welcome here. It was only a flying visit but he met with the President privately.
‘The one thing President Trump values above all is loyalty. Nigel has been a loyal ally from day one.’
The source added that Mr Trump ‘has not forgotten’ that Labour sent volunteers to the US to help Democrat rival Kamala Harris during last November’s election.
Mr Trump and his advisers watched Rachel Reeves’ Budget from Mar-a-Lago. An insider said: ‘There was dismay at what unfolded. This is a woman who tried to blame everyone, including Donald Trump, for the fact she was going to have to raise taxes. Now she’s been exposed as a liar.
‘The issues facing the UK are the same issues Donald Trump campaigned on so successfully: unchecked migration, the cost of living, public safety. We have a team who can help Nigel win.’
A source said it was ‘no coincidence’ that Dr Orr – who joined Vance’s family holiday to the Cotswolds this summer – is now a senior adviser to Farage. ‘Things are stepping up a gear,’ they said. ‘Nigel is the way forward and he has Trump’s full support.’
