Hundreds of people joined an anti-migrant march in Cheshunt, with claims that one protester had been hit by a car. Videos shared on social media show protestors waving Union Jack and England flags while police can also be seen in the area.
One X post shows a person who allegedly got hit by a car at the protest. A clip shows a man running across a busy street and appearing to be knocked over by a moving vehicle.

Protestor encounters anti-protestors
A protester streaming on YouTube approached counter-protesters.
The streamer was then asked by a police officer if he had a press pass. He responded that he had one but he doesn’t carry it with him.
Local politician speaks out
Conservative Cllr. Alexander Curtis said in a post on X: “There is a good turnout (100+) tonight at the Cheshunt Marriott hotel for the latest peaceful protest against the housing of sea people within the Borough of Broxbourne at the expense of the rest of us. Local people have had enough of our government’s actions, and rightly so!”
Counter-protest to take place
A counter-protest was planned for this evening in Cheshunt, accusing the “far-right” of “stoking division”.
Labour Councillor for Waltham Cross wrote in a post on X this week: “It’s not asylum seeker’s fault people are struggling – it’s because inequality is out of control and the super-rich are robbing us all blind.”
