Carole Malone tore into Keir Starmer in a humiliating takedown following a recent investigation conducted by GB News into smuggler gangs in Calais. Nearly 20,000 migrants crossed the English Channel to the UK in the first six months of this year, a rise of almost 50% on the number crossing in 2024 and a new record for the first half of a year. Speaking on GB News, the Express columnist addressed presenter Patrick Christys undercover sting operation where he spent 24 hours on the front line of Britain’s migration crisis.
Carole, 70, ripped into the Labour prime minister as she delievered a humiliating blow after the governments claims to “smash the gangs”. Her on-air colleague stated, “Smash the gangs has been going on for a year now. It seems the boat crossings are increasing. I think it is 50% up on where we were last year. Patrick’s there and found two of them already.”

Carole replied: “Yeah, this shows that Keir Starmer isn’t he vaguest bit serious about smashing the gangs because if Patrick can get three in half and hour just imagine what MI5 and MI6 could find if they put their minds to it!”
She continued to suggest the prime minister and Labour government are not interested in dealing with the ongoing migrant crisis.
“I would like to know,” Carole insisted, “Keir Starmer made a very stupid speech about a month ago. He put it out on Twitter.”
She continued: “It was a weird video saying, ‘we’re controlling your borders’. And assuring us that everything was under control. He looks ridiculous when you see this going on.”
She also claimed Starmer “isn’t making any effort” to dismantle the smuggling gangs.
The commentator emphasised that successful outcomes depended on political determination rather than resources. “Patrick found these people smugglers because he has the will to do so. That’s the difference with Keir Starmer and this Labour Government, they don’t have the will to do so,” she stated.
Malone highlighted concerns about personal safety whilst criticising the government’s inaction. “He is putting himself in danger here. If the Government got cracking with our special services, there would be none of this. They would be lifted in an instant.”
Her comments come after GB News presenter Patrick Christys went undercover in Calais where he confronted a suspected smuggler helping migrants cross the Channel to enter Britain.
