BBC sparks outrage as Donald Trump speech pulled off air

The BBC has come under fire after user’s shared clips online of Donald Trump’s speech coming to an abrupt stop as a reporter talked over the clip.

The BBC is in trouble with viewers at home after pressing pause on a live feed of Donald Trump issuing a speech in Israel.

President Trump was giving a speech that had been live streamed across multiple forums as he arrived in Israel following the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, that he helped push through.

While Trump was giving his statement, the BBC presenter said: “We are watching on BBC news as the US President Donald Trump gives his address to the Israel parliament Knesset.

“It’s a momentous day in the Middle East, all of the Israeli hostages are home.”

The show then cut and went straight into the title sequence, sparking fury on X as viewers rushed online to complain about the cull.

One user asked if the BBC were “insane” and said they had cut the live feed to his speech, before fuming: “Shame on the BBC!” Another fumed: Truly disgraceful,” while a third added: “They’re ridiculous. Watched the whole thing on X. Without the noise from pointless MSM news feeds.”

A fourth wrote: “Why are you watching the BBC? It was carried full on GBN. Far better coverage,” as another user fumed: “For goodness sake, stop watching the BBC.”

Others noted that the reason it was likely pulled was because it appeared to be on BBC2 and needed to move to their daily 12:15 politics programme instead.

Coverage from the BBC this morning followed the breaking news announcement of the hostages being released as Sally Nugent and Jon Kay headed up BBC Breakfast first thing.

Earlier today, they were discussing Donald Trump‘s arrival in Israel and Keir Starmer‘s stance on the latest news relating to the peace deal.

Labour MP Hamish Falconer was caught out on the show after failing to answer a question on BBC Breakfast as the hosts asked if Keir Starmer would agree with Trump’s stance that “war is over”.

The MP ignored the question twice and wouldn’t have his say on Starmer’s view point.

Trump has been very vocal on his thoughts since the news of the peace deal was announced, with him making the statement “war is over” while he was travelling via Air Force One.
