Angela Rayner has secured a stunning victory to be named Britain’s sexiest female politician, in a new poll by dating website Illicit Encounters. The poll comes a week after the website published its sexiest male celebrity poll, in which Robert Jenrick won the crown and came in 7th.

The site polled 2,000 male members who were asked to rate 50 of the most talked-about women in British public life, from celebrities to politicians and news readers. Those polled ranked each celebrity on a scale of 1 to 10, and concluded that Amanda Holden is 2025’s most attractive female star. However Ms Rayner placed very highly in fourth, being pipped by Lily Allen in 2nd and Stacey Solomon in 3rd.

Ms Rayner defeated other political rivals, with Suella Braverman coming in 12th place and Chancellor Rachel Reeves at 48th.

Megan Markle came stone dead last at 50th, being easily beaten by sister-in-law Kate Middleton who placed 48th.

Jessica Leoni, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said: “This year’s list proves that men’s tastes are evolving – and fast.

“Whether it’s Amanda Holden’s glam power or Angela Rayner’s political punch, what’s clear is that confidence and individuality are the new sexy.

“We’ve seen the same with Piers Morgan on the men’s list – there’s a growing appetite for personality over polish.”

Last week Illicit Encounters published their male poll, with Robert Jenrick beating off Nigel Farage who placed 11th.

Boris Johnson also secured 28th.
