Keir Starmer has become a landlord since entering Downing Street, it has been revealed.
Released for the first time since the general election, the new register of interests outlines any conflicts of interests ministers may have, including former jobs, the jobs of partners and family members, and other sources of income.
Under the Prime Minister’s entry, it revealed that Sir Keir Starmer is now letting out his Camden townhouse after it become vacant following his family’s move to Downing Street.
This means he is now one of Britain’s newest landlords, putting himself at odds with warnings that Labour’s renting reforms will drive providers from the housing market.
Sir Keir and his wife Victoria had lived in their Kentish Town house since 2004, originally purchased for £650,000 in 2004 but now worth nearly £2 million.

Similar sized townhouses in the area go for between £3,000 and £5,000 a month, suggesting Starmer is now raking in a sizeable second income.
The Prime Minister earns £79,990 a year, on top of his £91,346 MP salary.
Ministerial salaries were frozen in 2015 by David Cameron, meaning they have shrunk considerably in real terms over the past nine years.
Sir Keir joins Rachel Reeves, whom it was revealed last month is making £74,000 a year in rental income from two properties.
These include her family home since moving into No11 Downing Street, a four bedroom property in South London, for £3,200; and a central London two-bed flat for £3,000 a month.

Ms Reeves faced criticism following the revelation, after landlords and second home owners described her Budget as the “final nail in the coffin” for the buy-to-let sector.
In 2022 Keir Starmer raked in £400,000 after selling seven acres of green-belt land in Oxted, Surrey, behind his parents’ former home.
He was later found to have breached the MPs’ code of conduct by failing to register the sale of the plot of land, however he got away with a minor slap on the wrist.
As well as the Downing Street flat, Sir Keir is also awarded the right to use grace-and-favour properties including Chequers and Dorneywood.
