‘s claim that the Royal Family failed to help her adjust to royal life has finally been debunked by royal insiders.

According to the Mail, royal insiders now claim that it was Meghan who “threw their offer back in their faces” and that she was the one who turned down their help.

The sources claim that the Royal Family did everything they could to help Meghan adjust to royal life – but that she did not want the extra assistance.

As reported by the Sun, one staffer who worked at the Palace at the time said: “It was Clive [now Sir Clive Alderton, private secretary to the King] who said that if we could get this right for Harry, we’d be creating a blueprint for future younger sons for generations.

“We seconded people from Clarence House, very expert people, to help them, but the Duchess wouldn’t trust them.”

Speaking of Meghan and Harry’s claims that they were not supported, the sources added, “Those two were offered considerable resources, and then later said that they had been offered no help. And that was completely wrong.”

As well as support in becoming a royal, Meghan also previously alleged that the family didn’t provide support when she opened up about her mental health struggles. The mum of two stated this in the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

Meghan said the Palace told her she couldn’t get help because it “wouldn’t be good for the institution.”

Less than two years after their royal wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans to step down from royal duties in early 2020. The couple now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
