UK weather maps show almost all of Britain buried in white as a huge snow storm is forecast to arrive in days.
WXCHARTS weather maps for Sunday, March 8, show that only a portion of southern England will dodge a wintry downpour next month.
The maps show snowy weather sweeping in from the west, with the Scottish Highlands seeing as much as 30cm.

Meanwhile, in England, maps show almost all of northern England and the Midlands covered by snow, with only coastal areas to the east spared.
Over a six-hour period from midday to 6pm on March 8, maps forecast snow in parts of southern England, with London, Cornwall and Devon all hit.
The southwest near Somerset and Gloucestershire also looks set for some snowfall, maps suggest.
All areas of Wales and Northern Ireland will be covered in snow on March 8, according to the forecast.

Met Office snow forecast
The Met Office‘s forecast for March 8 to March 22 does not forecast snow.
It says: “Changeable conditions will probably dominate during this period, with Atlantic frontal systems spreading across the UK. These will bring spells of rain and perhaps strong winds, with the wettest conditions in the west and north.
“The southeast will likely be driest, perhaps with some long spells of dry weather developing for the south later. Temperatures are likely to be near to or slightly above normal overall.”
