Shoppers are to be left disappointed after UK clothing retailer Quiz confirmed it will not be issuing refunds following its entry into administration.
On Thursday, 6 February 2026, advisory firm Interpath was appointed as administrator to Quiz, which has been in operation since 1993. The move comes after rising costs and a “disappointing” Christmas trading period, leaving the company unable to meet its financial obligations.
Despite the administration, all 40 stores and seven concessions will remain open while the administrators explore their options.
However, the retailer’s website has already gone offline, and online orders that have not yet been dispatched will no longer be fulfilled.
As part of the administration process, Quiz has launched a stock clearance sale across all locations.
Customers were warned that all items will be “sold as seen”, with returns only accepted if goods are faulty.
An online statement from the retailer said: “Customers may wish to make purchases whilst stocks are available.
“All goods purchased on or after 5th February 2026 will be ‘sold as seen’ and returns can only be accepted on the grounds that the goods are faulty.”
Shoppers were informed that refunds, whether by cash or card, will not be provided, and that gift cards and credit notes will no longer be honoured.
Customers with online orders awaiting refund were told they will regrettably not receive a refund and were advised to contact their card providers for assistance.
The administration marks another setback for UK shoppers, coming amid a challenging retail landscape of rising costs, supply chain pressures and changing consumer habits.
