Robert Jenrick has published bombshell texts from the Tory chief whip that prove his claims amid a furious row that saw him branded a “compulsive liar” by his former party. The row erupted last night when Mr Jenrick revealed that he was told to “rot in hell” by Kemi Badenoch’s chief enforcer of discipline, Rebecca Harris.
He claimed Ms Harris’s astonishing tirade was sparked after he wrote an article calling for international aid spending to be redeployed towards the military. In response, Kemi Badenoch appeared on GB News this morning to accuse her former colleague of lying. Mr Jenrick has now published screenshots of the offending tweets, proving he was correct.

In the messages, Ms Harris – who was a junior government whip at the time – can be seen branding Mr Jenrick a “bloodsucker”.
She blasted: “This is actual feedback / leave the party and be a commentator… Go away… You’re a bloodsucker.”
“Running us down in public just to feel good on heaven knows what basis / if you aren’t happy with the direction of travel fine – please use your party connections to deal with it but not in public – best announce you and Suella are stranding down now.
“You’ve lost the plot.”
Following Mr Jenrick publishing the texts, a Reform UK source told the Express: “The Tories lied to you in office and Kemi and her team have been caught red handed lying to the public again.
“Senior MPs at the heart of the Tory Party privately think it’s evil to spend money on our armed forces over foreign aid.
“They simply cannot be trusted to serve the British people.”

This morning Kemi Badenoch told GB News: “He’s lying. And I think it’s a real shame he’s being allowed to air these views. He’s left the party, it’s time for him to move on.
“It is our policy – a policy that the chief whip has been enforcing – to spend more money on defence and take it away from aid. I’ve given speeches about.
“This whole saga has not been about policy or policy disagreements, it’s been about character.”
Chief Whip Rebecca Harris was appointed to the role in November 2024 by Ms Badenoch, and was put in charge of sacking Mr Jenrick from the party last week following revelations he had been planning to defect to Reform UK.
