A married businessman tried to kiss a male flight attendant on board a British Airways flight after getting drunk on vodka and wine. Philip Gould, 64, was travelling back to the UK from the Bahamas alongside his wife on June 25 last year when the incident happened.

After drinking heavily, Gould slapped his wife and then abused the cabin crew. When his attempt to purchase more alcohol was refused, Gould propositioned a male flight attendant before unleashing a verbal barrage in front of shocked travellers. During his expletive rant, Gould called cabin crew “c***s” before making his way to the cockpit and shouting at the pilot.

The businessman screamed at cabin crew “I’ll kill you – there are not enough people on the plane to restrain me”, before hitting his wife and grabbing her by the hair, the Daily Mail reports.

When a female member of the crew attempted to intervene in the altercation, he shouted: “Why are you talking to my wife, you are a s**g. You’re pretty,” before grabbing her and kissing a male colleague on the cheek before biting his ear.

Gould eventually fell asleep and was arrested upon arrival at London Heathrow.

He earlier admitted to sexual assault, acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft and being drunk in an aircraft.

Speaking at a hearing yesterday at Isleworth Crown Court, Judge Fiona Barrie adjourned sentencing until next month but warned the married businessman that he faces jail.

Speaking in his defence, Manny Arora said her client was remorseful and suffering from PTSD.

She said: “He accepts he consumed some vodka. But when he entered the aircraft, he was not intoxicated.”

Prior to the hearing, Gould admitted to being drunk in an aircraft, sexual assault on a male, two counts of assault by beating and recklessly acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft.

He will be sentenced on February 11.
