A woman was raped at an address in a popular UK seaside town. Police have now launched an investigation and released CCTV pictures of a man they would like to identify.
Sussex Police said the victim was raped at around 9.40pm on Thursday, December 11. A man was seen talking to her outside of a property in Queens Place, Hove, before he left the area around 10 minutes later. Investigating officers believe the man pictured “may be able to assist with onwards enquiries.”
The man is described as having brown or black hair and a beard. He was also wearing a dark coloured cap, a dark jacket with an emblem on the arm, blue jeans with faded thighs, and a white top with a motif in the centre of the chest. He was also carrying a white plastic shopping bag.
Officers are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward as the investigation continues. They are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have footage from the area at the time of the rape.
Meanwhile, the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers. The force reiterated that public safety in the area remains their “top priority”.
