GB News presenter Mark White certainly didn’t hold back as he shared his frustration with the lack of intervention by French police as towns become overrun with migrants. The Home and Security Editor joined Andrew Pierce and Camilla Tominey on their afternoon show on Thursday (November 13), where he discussed the rising migrant problem affecting towns and cities across France.
He told the presenting duo how migrants are operating with “near impunity” in French coastal towns, with locals regularly being “terrorised” by increasing levels of violence and crime. Sharing exclusive new footage taken from Calais and Gravelines, he revealed the full extent of the situation live on air.
As footage of migrants walking through French towns wearing bright orange life jackets popped up on screen, he explained: “This shows actually how people smugglers and migrants are operating with near impunity across France.
“The first images are of migrants wandering around in Calais, in Dunkirk, in Gravelines, where the main launch beaches are. Now look at this, they’re queuing for the free buses that migrants can get that take them to and from the beaches that they launch from.
“They’ve got their very distinctive orange jackets, some wearing them, some carrying them, completely unchallenged by the police. The images we shot showed no police making any effort, and this is them just walking through the main towns.”
Host Andrew Pierce noted: “They’re all young men, Mark. All young men in their 20s and 30s”, as the editor revealed thoughts from an anonymous senior maritime source. He added: “We spoke to a senior maritime source who said, ‘The very least the police should be doing is stopping them from confiscating those life jackets because they are an enabler of the journeys across the English Channel’.
“And listen, it’s not just the fact that the police aren’t intervening in taking back these life jackets, there is almost nightly disorder and serious criminality in these towns as well.” The veteran presenter then shared footage of chaos erupting involving people wearing similar orange life jackets terrorising the streets.

It didn’t take long before viewers flocked to X – formerly known as Twitter – to voice their concerns online. One user penned: “Nobody can say that the French police and/or military couldn’t sort this out in a heartbeat if they wanted. [President] Macron does not want it stopped. I feel sorry for the French who have to live near this; they need to boot Macron out asap.”
Another agreed: “And people think the French will stop illegal migrants crossing the channel [two cry-laughing emojis]. They’ll do everything in their power to help them remove the problem they have; we are being taken to the cleaners by Macron and the French, millions of pounds for nothing.”
A third chimed in with: “That’s why they wave them through onto us,” as a fourth echoed: “Imagine letting the French make complete fools out of you. The English government is weak and pathetic; they want your country overrun. It’s up to the men of England to stop this, protect your beaches.”
