The latest weather model has predicted the UK to be covered in snow next week.
The UK could be set for a blizzard as a new forecast has raised the alarm for more than 60 counties across Britain to wake up to snow next week. Using the latest meteorological models, forecasts from WX Charts have shown the potential for up to 25cm of snow to fall in the worst-affected areas in just 10 days. According to the data, freezing air will sweep down from the Arctic north of the UK next week on Wednesday, November 19th, bringing an abrupt end to the wet and mild conditions seen recently.
That cold air is set to meet with moist Atlantic air, which creates the perfect recipe for snow to sweep across the UK. The Met Office has yet to issue any snow alerts for next week, but has warned that temperatures could begin to plummet this week, with some areas in Scotland being hit by the first batch of arctic air.

Met Office meteorologist Simon Partridge told The Independent: “There is the possibility of snow by the end of next week and into next weekend.
“There are lots of different computer models, and they all run multiple times a day, but some of them are coming up with some cold air coming in from the north that might result in some snow across most likely Scotland.”
However, for next week, the new model predicts snow to first hit the northernmost regions of Scotland on Monday, November 17, at around 10am, with the worst hit areas in the highlands warned that as much as 25cm could fall.
In the coming hours, the weather system is expected to quickly blow south, encompassing most of Scotland and much of northern England, the Midlands and North Wales.
Over the coming days, the snow is expected to stay, slowly pushing further south until Wednesday, when WX Charts predicts snow to fall across much of the south, with London and lots of the South Coast getting a sprinkling.
