LBC’s Nick Ferrari throws GMB star off show as furious Southport riot row erupts

A debate about the Southport riots turned tense on LBC as Nick Ferrari threw off one of his guests.

Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur was left furious as she was cut off by LBC presenter Nick Ferrari in a furious clash over the Southport riots. The pair had been debating what had led to the riots, which were sparked by the murders of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguilar at a Taylor Swift themed dance class in Southport last year. Nick asked Narinder: “If you come back to those awful riots of last year, would you accept that they were fuelled by a lack of information. A belieef that the person involved was an asylum seeker who had come over on dinghy, would you accept that?”

The TV commentator hit back: “I wouldn’t accept that, there has been a massive amount of misinformation,” to which Nick responded: “What fueled those riots then?” Narinder insisted: “Scapegoating asylum seekers and misinformation being given out which is very dangerous.” Nick, clearly getting frustrated, replied: “Precisely, so let’s not give out misinformation, and then we could know that the person behind those horrific attacks on those girls in the dance class was British born, so if we had information like that, you would prevent riots.”

Narinder said: “No, you got the riots because you were given misinformation that he was a Muslim illegal immigrant,” as Nick tried to interject: “I know, and if we’d had the truth.”

The GMB panellist chimed in: “No because you have the truth now, and there are still these demonstrations up and down the country. And it’s not locals, a lot of these protests are British First, EDL, Neo-Nazi, they’re not local groups.”

Nick, desperately trying to get a word in, said: “Even the Home Secretary agrees now that the information that should have been given regarding the Southport killer, I’m not going to say his name, the Chief Constable of Merseyside agrees, the Commissioner, why are they all wrong?”

Narinder then tried to bring up Paul Doyle, the man accused of deliberately driving into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans, as she had earlier in the interview, as she said: “Okay Nick, when we have the Liverpool…”

The TV star was then abruptly cut off from the interview as her line went dead, as Nick told listeners: “Sorry we’ll end it there, that’s going before the courts, we’re going to have to end it there, Narinder is a commentator and social media broadcaster, I’m sorry but you cannot get into live cases, I’m grateful for your time.”

On social media, Narinder vented her fury as she said: “I was cut off from @lbc mid point because how dare I make the point that the ethnicity of the driver who drove into the football parade in Liverpool had to be revealed immediately in order to stop any riots that would have occurred had he been brown or black.. Yet he was talking about the ethnicity of the men accused of rape..both are LIVE cases.”

She added: “If someone says they’re just worried about their daughter’s safety-but only when it comes to asylum seekers-that’s not genuine concern. That’s a double standard. Steeped In racist undertones.

“Side point – you shouldn’t invite someone on @lbc to cut them off just because you know they were winning the argument.”
