The GB News presenter went undercover as he confronted smugglers on the French coast
GB News presenter Patrick Christys clashed with migrant smugglers as he confronted an individual suspected of operating Channel crossings in an explosive undercover operation, where they investigated the full extent of people illegally entering the UK. The GB News host arranged to meet the suspected people smuggler, posing as a Vietnamese migrant where he offered assistance to cross the English channel for migrants to enter Britain. Patrick, 33, documented the encounter with the alleged smuggler, which revealed the suspect had communicated with him in English through messages before the face-to-face meeting, reports GB News.
But not having heard back from their communications, Patrick opted to head to France to gather more evidence which they could then provide to the French authorities. Having agreed to meet the smuggler, who appeared from the bushes, he appeared spooked after spotting the cameras.

The presenter followed him and directly asked the individual: “Are you a human trafficker?” The person responded with a denial.
The suspected smuggler initially insisted they could not communicate in English, stating “No speak English” when questioned.
“That’s strange you spoke English when you messaged me before, didn’t you?” Patrick said.
The person then identified their nationality as “Kurdish” but repeatedly stated he could not speak English.
Throughout the encounter, Patrick raised concerns about the dangers of Channel crossings, asking: “Do you ever worry that, when you send people across the Channel, they might die?”
“I will speak English,” they stated and Patrick replied: “You’ll speak English? before the suspected smuggler ran away.
Patrick went on: “OK. Well, there we go. It’s as easy as that. We’ve got their faces on record, and we know it’s them they sent us the messages, the exact location.
“The only reason they came up from there was to see us. So we know it’s them. They are the human traffickers bringing people across.
“We’re going to hand all of this over to the French police and see if anything can be done about it.”
In more footage shared on GB News, migrants could be seen throwing glass bottles at the car Patrick travelled in as he admitted he was met with hostility in shocking scenes.
