GB News sparks fury as show halted for migrant ‘breaking news’ report.uk

GB News was interrupted to announce that hundreds of people had taken part in protests near a hotel used to house asylum seekers

GB News fans unleashed their fury over the programme’s “breaking” report on migrants. Patrick Christys was presenting the show when he announced that an “anti-migration” protest was taking place in Epping. Protesters from far-right and pro-refugee groups gathered in Epping, Essex, near a hotel used to house asylum seekers. Essex Police said a man had been arrested on suspicion of affray at the protest. The protest came after an asylum seeker was arrested on suspicion of alleged sexual assaults in the town. Adam Brooks reported live from the scene, branding it “surreal” as he explained what was going on around him.

He told GB News viewers: “I got here at about half four, five o’clock and it was grandparents, parents, there were kids in school uniform – it was great natured. Very surreally, they allowed 50 anti-racism protestors to march down the road from Epping Station. They were flayed by a lot of police and I think they thought they could control that, but then men and youths of the area have gone to counter protest the so-called anti-racists and police had to kettle them into a side road.” After the “anti-racists” were held for hours, Adam revealed that “every youth from Epping” arrived, branding it a “day out” for 15 to 18-year-olds.

Adam’s reporting location was filled with dozens of riot police and hundreds of people, leading him to declare: “I don’t think this is going to end anytime soon.”

Asked how well the matter was policed, Adam said: “Let’s just remind the viewers that this is years of harassment and young girls being approached by men from this hotel. This isn’t just a recent thing so the anger is really high here.

“There are people from miles away who have come to voice their anger. I don’t know how this is going to end. When it comes to the police, I commended them a lot. They were very organised. I think they underestimated that these anti-racists were masked up, they were clearly looking for some sort of confrontation and unfortunately the youth of Epping have come out and given it.”

The report sparked outrage as one fumed: “When riots in black areas happen, they bend over backwards for years afterwards to appease the ‘community’. When a peaceful protest in a white community happens, the Police run them over, and the PM calls them all racists. Seems like riots get better results than peaceful.”

Another raged: “Stop condemning English people fighting back, it’s long past that now we must be proud of them for fighting back for this land.”

Echoing this, a third added: “A migrant that was only there for a few days SA’d a girl. It’s not racism to express you have had enough with your women being sacrificed by elites because they have no balls to do what needs to be done.”

Someone else shared: “Were you there all evening? I didn’t see you until 21:30 maybe? We need transparency and honesty. I like you please be honest.”
