Moment Nigel Farage is drowned out by woke Remoaners in chaotic PMQs scenes.uk

Nigel Farage was heckled during Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday.

MPs have heckled Nigel Farage while he attempted to ask a question about the small boats crisis in the Commons. Reform UK’s leader was interrupted by rowdy Parliamentarians when he tried to grill Sir Keir Starmer about immigration during Prime Minister’s Questions. He also used his momet to attack Emmanuel Macron, branding him an “increasingly arrogant anti-Brexit French president”.

Mr Farage began by saying “people voted for Brexit” but he was disrupted by an MP shouting “because they were lied to”. The Reform chief went on to say that Britons want the government to stop illegal migration.

The Clacton MP glared at MP behind him when he interrupted his question. One MP could be heard saying “will you shut up?”

Speaking to the PM, the architect of Brexit continued: “Does the Prime Minister understand that that demand today is even greater than it was back in 2016 and that we demand, the country demands, that you say to the French president we will not accept undocumented migrants across the English Channel and that you are not dictated to by an increasingly arrogant anti-Brexit French president.”

Sir Keir hit back and said Mr Farage’s approach amounted to sticking “two fingers up at your neighbours and then expect them to work with us”.

The Prime Minister said: “We are fixing the mess that we inherited. We are working with other countries to ensure that we take the measures necessary to stop people crossing the Channel.

“They are serious answers to serious problems. His proposal, for 10 years wagging the Tory dog, has been to break everything and claim that is how you fix things, to stick two fingers up at your neighbours and then expect them to work with us and he votes against the Borders Bill which gives more powers to our law enforcement to deal with security at our borders.

“The reason for that is he has no interest in fixing the problem because he wants to milk it and exploit it. That is the truth about him and his party.”

Reform UK MP Lee Anderson later erupted at MPs for heckling Mr Farage as he raised a point of order following PMQs.

The Ashfield MP said: “During PMQs today the honourable member for Clacton asked what I thought was quite a reasonable question because I knew what the question was going to be.

“But during PMQs I couldn’t hear a single word and I’m sure people in this chamber couldn’t because people like the honourable member for Dewsbury behind me never shut up all the way through.

“We do not subscribe to this sort of dog whistle politics in Reform UK so Mr Speaker could you please give us advice how to stop this behaviour in the future?”

Sir Keir and Emmanuel Macron will hold talks at No 10 as the UK pushes for France to do more to stop migrant crossings.

The French president arrived on Tuesday for the first state visit by an EU head of state since Brexit.

It comes as the UK has been pressing for tougher action from the French authorities on the beaches along the Channel coast.

The Prime Minister hopes to strike a “one in, one out” deal to send small boat migrants back to the continent, in exchange for the UK accepting asylum seekers in Europe who have a British link.

Alongside Downing Street talks, Sir Keir and Mr Macron are also expected to attend a reception with UK and French businesses and an event at the British Museum on Wednesday.
