Moment ugly mass brawl breaks out on UK beach in heatwave frenzy.uk

A shocking brawl erupted on a beach as the UK enjoyed an early summer heatwave.

Police were called to the scene in Broadstairs, Kent when a brawl broke out on the sand as shocked onlookers watched in disbelief.

Two men were spotted exchanging punches on the sand. Both landed their blows, leaving one seemingly unsteady.

Shrieks of surprise echoed from some spectators.

A crowd of nearly 100 people gathered around the fighters.

Some seemed to encourage the fight.

Bystanders in their swimming costumes watched in disbelief as the chaos spread across the beach.

Several youngsters climbed atop a beach hut to avoid the ugly crash.

One observer captured the two-minute-and-56-second-long brawl on video.

The incident was part of a series of anti-social disturbances in Broadstairs, Kent on Saturday (21 Jun).

The beach temperature soared to 30C that day, as reported on NeedToKnow.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated: “We were called to a report that a disturbance related to approximately 50 individuals was taking place on Broadstairs beach shortly before 3pm on Saturday 21 June.”

“Officers attended and after completing enquiries a 17 year old boy was arrested and taken into custody.

“Later that day, the teenager was charged with assaulting a police officer and was bailed with conditions to attend Maidstone Youth Court at a later date.”

“A dispersal order remains in place following concerns of antisocial behaviour involving a small minority of young people in some public areas, including the town centre and beaches.

“Local officers will be on patrol to provide a visible presence and to ensure the area remains a safe place for all.”
