More than 200,000 people have signed a major petition on Parliament’s website.

A map has shown where the highest concentration of Brits want to stop asylum seekers from getting benefits. At the time of writing, a petition calling for the measure on Parliament’s website has garnered more than 212,000 signatures. When a campaign reaches 100,000, MPs consider debating it. 577 (0.55% of constituents) signatories are from Nigel Farage‘s Clacton constituency, according to a map on Parliament’s website. 558 (0.61%) are from Castle Point, Conservative Rebecca Harris’ constituency, and 546 (0.56%) Rayleigh and Wickford, where Marc Francois is the MP.

570 (0.60%) signed in Llanelli, a Labour patch in Wales represented by Dame Nia Griffith. In Tamworth in the West Midlands, 578 (0.57%) had lent their support, and, in nearby Kingswinford and South Staffordshire, 502 signed (0.56%). Up in the north west, in Widnes and Halewood, where Derek Twigg is the Labour MP, 538 (0.58%) people signed the petition. Even further north, 524 (0.56%) come from the Labour seat of Whitehaven and Workington.
