Nigel Farage has made a greater impact on politics than anyone since, possibly, Tony Blair but more likely Margaret Thatcher. Only recently actually elected to Parliament, he has punched well above his weight for years. He has, quite literally, changed the course of British history with Brexit.
He is a man of the people – yet he is hated by a great many more. In fact, it’s not hard to argue that the more successful he is in representing the interests of the majority of people, the louder and more shrill comes the criticism from the lefty liberal elite. Which just goes to show you how little they know.
They can’t play the ball because, well, look around you at Britain 2025 – graffiti, rubbish piling up, potholes, high taxes, queues for all public services and a general sense of decay – so they play the man. The truth is that this country has been run for many years by politicians of different parties who were equally useless and have made no impact on our lives other than for the worse.

Now Reform has the chance to make an actual difference, running a series of local authorities and I can’t wait to see the results. My greatest regret is that I probably won’t be around to see Nigel become prime minister of this country.
But I don’t doubt it’ll be in safe hands. I’m pretty confident he has it in him to become one of our country’s greatest leaders. Remember, Winston Churchill was seen by many as out of touch, misguided and adrift before the Second World War.
That said, I’ll miss seeing the lefties, union bosses, out-of-touch think tankers and charitocracy, and hopelessly out-of-touch chattering classes – whose privileged lives float above the mess the rest of us have to endure – weeping into their ballot boxes! Now that would be fun.
