Top Tory Robert Jenrick demands end to ‘anti-white racism’ in Britain.uk

Shadow Justice Secretary and a senior colleague publish new video detailing extent of ‘state-sanctioned’ racism

Top Tory Robert Jenrick has launched a new crusade demanding an immediate end to “state-sanctioned racism” against white people in Britain. In a new video with his Conservative parliamentary colleague Neil O’Brien, the Shadow Justice Secretary warned that the Equality Act and practices like diversity, equality and inclusion (EDI) have become “a Trojan horse for anti-white discrimination”.

The pair asked: “Does equality before the law really exist any more?” They listed a litany of recent examples, including recent guidance by top judges that could have created more lenient sentences for ethnic minorities. Just last week, it was revealed that West Yorkshire Police had temporarily prevented white British candidates from applying for jobs.

It was also claimed that different ethnic minorities were categorised into gold, silver and bronze levels.

Mr O’Brien, a shadow education minister on Kemi Badenoch’s front bench, warned: “These policies that are supposedly ‘more inclusive’ are actually creating a lot of division in this country.

“And in the name of fairness, policies are being pursued that are actually incredibly unfair to people, and judge people just by the colour of their skin.”

Mr Jenrick condemned Britain’s equality laws as reintroducing “selection by skin colour”, something hard fought against in the name of anti-racism in the 60s and 70s.

The pair also took aim at diversity managers, particularly in the public sector – pointing out that the NHS has about 800 officers costing £40million a year.

It has spread to British defence as well, with the RAF being forced to pay compensation after illegally discriminating against “useless white men”.

The Army itself has suggested relaxing security clearances in order to increase the recruitment of ethnic minorities.

Mr Jenrick warned that this “is putting diversity ahead of our national security”.

Mr O’Brien says: “The truth is that the DEI agenda isn’t doing anything to promote opportunity for people who need it most.”

“Instead it’s lumping together a lot of different people, who have nothing in common other than the fact that they are not white.

“That’s not doing anything for people who are coming from poorer backgrounds who don’t get any chances in life, and it’s creating a more divided country, not a more equal one.”

They outlined that the problem lies with Labour’s 2010 Equality Act, which allows anti-white discrimination under the guise of affirmative action and, therefore, makes it legal.

While Mr Jenrick says “it’s time to end it all”, Mrs Badenoch has not yet committed to repealing the Equality Act.

However, when still in government, she led efforts to amend the Equality Act specifically to ensure women’s safety and prevent trans people from accessing women-only spaces.
