Ex-Prime Minister Liz Truss has called for a “Trump revolution” in Britain to curb the overbearing state and to tackle the migrant crisis.

“Britain has more DEI employees per head than anywhere else in the world, the highest tax burden since 1948 and record migration”, Ms Truss wrote on X, sharing an article by right-wing commentator Connor Tomlinson.

Her claim that Britain is the ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ capital of the world is supported by LinkedIn data.

The career-focused social networking claimed that “the UK already employs almost twice as many D&I workers (per 10,000 employees) as any other country”.

President Trump meanwhile put all public sector DEI staff on paid leave on January 21 – just his second day in office.

In his Executive Order text, the President wrote: “The Biden Administration forced illegal and immoral discrimination programs, going by the name ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ (DEI), into virtually all aspects of the Federal Government, in areas ranging from airline safety to the military.”

Later, Mr Trump added that “DEIs infiltration of the Federal Government” had led to “immense public waste and shameful discrimination”.

He wrote: “That ends today. Americans deserve a government committed to serving every person with equal dignity and respect, and to expending precious taxpayer resources only on making America great.”

Like Ms Truss, the former Cabinet Secretary Simon Case appeared to praise the incoming President’s swashbuckling start to his second term.

He wrote in the Daily Telegraph: “With impressive political theatre, President Trump has signed executive orders issuing his commands across the reaches of the federal government.

“It is harder to imagine a British prime minister filling a stadium with adoring fans to witness the signature of memos instructing Whitehall to do this or that.

“Nevertheless, the extreme transparency of Trump’s approach might be something that more politicians in the UK are willing to try in future, given the declining public interest in and trust in politics.”
