People took to social media to poke fun at the Prime Minister after he turned on the Christmas lights outside 10 Downing Street.
Sir Keir Starmer has been mocked on social media over his “toe-curlingly awkward” No 10 Christmas lights switch-on.
The Prime Minister stepped outside 10 Downing Street to turn on the lights ahead of his first Christmas in office.
He was joined by wife Lady Victoria, while NHS workers, military personnel and members of the police gathered.
But Sir Keir appeared to be met with silence when he urged them to take part in a countdown with him.
The PM said: “Can you please join me when I say five, four, three, two, one.”
